Recently tried to use All 4 App to download some TV episodes over Express VPN

The All 4 app opened fine which showed that the app knew I was still in the UK via IP , however when trying to download an episode is showed the error

“Sorry, downloads are not allowed from your current geographic location”

I thought it might use location services on the device to track you so disabling this still had the issue , in the end I had to set the Timezone on the Phone to the UK , which then solved the issue
