To request a refund or correction for a contribution, you’ll need to provide this request in a letter that has been signed and dated.

The letter must include the below information regarding the refund:

Your details – full name, date of birth, member number and address
Details of the contributions to be refunded / corrected
Reason for refund / correction (how the error occurred)

Once we receive this information from you, your request will be forwarded to the relevant department.

Please note
Refund requests are subject to AustralianSuper approval and generally need to be made in the same financial year as the contribution was paid.

Returning documents
To return documents and information to us, please visit our website at

Go to and select Upload a document.
Select the relevant Member/Non-Member/Employer button.
Type in or search for the name of the document or form you’re submitting.
Drag and drop the document(s) and/or form you’re uploading.
Complete the online form with your details and make sure you include your AustralianSuper reference number.
